Description
Betula platyphylla is a medium-sized, broad-leaved, deciduous hardwood tree species of the genus Betula (Betulaceae). B. platyphylla, has been used since prehistoric times, primarily for building, crafting, and writing materials and secondarily for medication and cosmetics. Betula bark extract exhibits immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant activities, and its pharmacological applications are intensively exploited.
