Description

Nothapodytes nimmoniana is a medium sized medicinal tree species found in Western Ghats of India. The plant is native to Indo-malaysia, Indo-china and is also distributed in some parts of Assam, Burma, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand. The tree is the richest source of a potent anti-cancer MIA camptothecin (CPT) and 9-methoxycamptothecin.
